SUMMARY: The Department of Energy (DOE) is adopting new energy
conservation standards for commercial ice-cream freezers; self-
contained commercial refrigerators, commercial freezers, and commercial refrigerator-freezers without doors; and remote condensing commercial refrigerators, commercial freezers, and commercial refrigerator-freezers. DOE has determined that energy conservation standards for these types of equipment would result in significant conservation of energy, and are technologically feasible and economically justified.
DATES: The effective date of this rule is March 10, 2009. The standards established in today's final rule will be applicable starting January 1, 2012. Incorporation by reference of the material listed is approved by the Director of the Federal Register on March 10, 2009.
